Here at Midwest Elite Entertainment we recognize that there is more to the world than just ourselves. Below we list each of our community involvements.
Mandriva is a distribution of GNU/Linux that has made a public commitment to the Free Software Foundation 's General Public License . In addition to this great commitment, they have a public and open development philosophy which they demonstrate with their development distribution called Cooker. It is on Cooker that we contribute reports and company resources to improve Mandriva's overall product. We believe in their development model and spirit.
Each Installfest we have contributed equipment, door prizes, and company resources to the Siouxland Linux User Group to aid in the event. At an Installfest everyone in the city is invited to bring their computers in, and have GNU/Linux installed on their computers. In addition to just hardware, we also have staff members at these events helping out.
